LIGHTING TYPES

	Cold Cathode
	A new addition to our lighting options. These are a extra long life and high output globe similar to a compact fluroescent. Click here for more information
	LED
	There are now a wide variety of high performance LED Lights - with up to 100,000 hours life and low wattage, these are suited to RAPS.
	Fluorescent Tubes
	Strip fluorescent lights are the common, long cylindrical lights. The most efficient tubes (e.g. T5’s) have a tri-phosphor coating and will produce about 15% more light. They also have a longer life than normal fluorescent tubes.
	Compact Fluorescent
	Compact fluorescent lights are long lasting lights that fit into a conventional bayonet or edison screw socket.
	Halogens
	Halogens lights are small globes that produce a ‘daylight’ quality light. They are well suited as task-lights for reading and working areas and as a spotlight. Dichroic Halogens have a built in reflector which directs light but not heat forward. Look for our IRC range to give you even greater energy savings.
	Incandescent
	Incandescent globes are the common light globes. They are not efficient and should only be used where the light will be on for a very short period of time e.g. pantry.
